Mary Jo King

November 26, 1924 — May 4, 2017

Mary Jo King, age 93, of Sentinel, OK passed away May 4, 2017 in Elk City, OK. She was born on January 26, 1924 in Henrietta, TX to Harvey Williamson and Nancy James (Beaty) Carmichael.

Jo attended business school and while working at the Sheppard Field AFB in Wichita Falls, TX, met her husband, John Thomas King. After they married, Jo and Tommy moved to Sentinel to farm until 1989, before moving into town. She enjoyed sewing for her family members and later, working at Carol's Draperies. Jo was also an avid bowler and made many friends bowling in various leagues. She was a fan of all sports, especially Thunder basketball. Jo was a member of the Eastern Star and United Methodist Women's Organizations.

Survivors include:
Daughter, Nancy Robinson & husband, Ron of Fort Smith, AR; Daughter, Kristi Fender & husband, Mark of Elk City, OK; Son John King & wife, Terri of Sentinel, OK; Grandchildren, Andy Robinson, Scott Robinson, Claire Lemaster & husband, John, Matt Fender, Micah Fender & wife, Kristina, Katrina King, Jamie King and Whitney King; Great Grandchildren, Charlie & Eva Lemaster, Genysis King and Kaisyn McDaugale; along with numerous friends and other relatives.

Jo was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 5 brothers and 2 sisters.

Visitation for Jo will be held from 9:00 am-8:00 pm on Saturday, May 6th and 1:00 pm-8:00 pm on Sunday, May 7th. Services will be held on Monday, May 8, 2017 at 2:00 pm at the First United Methodist Church in Sentinel with interment following at Sentinel Cemetery, under the direction of Ray & Martha's Funeral Home, Sentinel.
