Mary Larue Duree

April 28, 1943 — July 2, 2019

Mary LaRue (Reyes) Duree went to be with the Lord July 2, 2019 in Chickasha, Oklahoma with some of her loved ones by her side. She was born April 28, 1943 in Gracemont, Oklahoma to Ignacia and Manuel Reyes.

Anybody who knew Mary knew how hard working and driven she was. She was known almost by everyone in the Caddo County area and there wasn't a single place she could go where she wouldn't strike up a conversation with an old friend. She would help anyone in need and would bend over backwards for just about anyone, especially her family. To her, her family was her whole world. Her family called her Nana and she was grateful for that title. She loved cooking homemade meals for family and guests and visiting at the dinner table although she never sat down and rested until she made sure, everyone had a heaping plate of her good cooking and a glass of sweet iced tea. She was a bubbly person, always laughing and hollering on while talking and bantering with everyone. She was a one of a kind type of woman who shined a light in every person's life she touched. She was employed at many jobs over the years. She worked for 20 years as a dispatcher at the Caddo County Sheriff's Office and retired in 2007. She only spent a couple of weeks off before starting a new job at Williamson Storage, which shows what type of person she was. She retired officially in 2018.
