Mary Sue Black, 59, of Anadarko was born October 8, 1952, in Cogar, to Elmer and Letha (Marrow) Whitlow and passed away August 8, 2012 at her home in Anadarko.
Mary grew up in the Gracemont and Binger areas. She attended Binger public schools. After school Mary worked with her parents as farm laborers. On July 8, 1991 she married Robert Black and they made their home in Anadarko. At that time she became a seamstress employed by APEX Manufacturing in Anadarko.
Her hobbies included bowling, visiting casinos, attending People First conferences and APEX dances. She also enjoyed listening to gospel and classic country music and going to concerts.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Bud Whitlow.
Survivors include, her husband Robert, of Anadarko, one brother, Bill Whitlow and his wife Linda, of Anadarko, two nieces; Teresa Matthews of Gracemont and Kelli Whitlow of Anadarko, two nephews; Steven Whitlow of Verden and Brent Whitlow of Carnegie one aunt, Jane Marrow of Hinton, one uncle, Bobby Marrow, a sister-in-law, Dian Whitlow of Gracemont and numerous other relatives and friends.
The funeral service will be held at 10 A.M., August 11, 2012 at The First Baptist Church in Verden, Oklahoma. The burial will be at 1 P.M. in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Fort Cobb under the direction of the Steverson Funeral Home.
