Mark Edward Phillips

May 13, 1962 — November 24, 2013

Mark Edward Phillips, 51, of Anadarko was born May 5, 1962, to Gary Mann and Pauline (Guinn) Phillips in Oklahoma City. He passed from this life on Sunday, November 24, 2013, in Anadarko.
Mark was raised in Oklahoma City and graduated from Putnam City High School. Most of us would agree that Mark was a head-strong, determined individual. He had a heart for loving people and most people loved him. Mark cared deeply for people who weren't as fortunate as he and shared whatever he had no matter how little or how much he had.
He joined the U.S. Navy using his brother, Craig's social security number. Then, Mark was put in charge of a group of men beyond his years. When his age was discovered, he was put in detention and sent home.
Preceding him in death were his father, Grandmother, nephew Spencer Mann Phillips and sister-in-law Regina Aguilar.
Survivors include, his wife Andrea, of the home; his daughter Samantha Irene Phillips of Bel Air, Maryland; his mother Polly Phillips of Oklahoma City; two brothers, Craig Phillips and wife Lori of Luther, Oklahoma and Paul Phillips and wife Janet of Huntsville, Alabama; two nieces, Morgan Phillips of Edmond, Oklahoma and Amanda Phillips of Huntsville, Alabama; two nephews, Joshua Phillips and Aaron Phillips of Huntsville, Alabama and numerous cousins, other relatives and friends.
A Funeral will be held at 11 A.M., Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at the Steverson Funeral Chapel in Anadarko. Burial will follow in Memory Lane Cemetery in Anadarko.
