Marjorie Mae Parker

February 2, 1918 — November 26, 2011

Marjorie Parker, 93, Mountain View, Oklahoma , passed away Saturday, November 26th, 2011 at her daughter's home in Mountain View and went home to be with her Lord. She was born February 2, 1918 at Campo, Colorado one of six children of D. C. Byrd and Esta (McDowell) Byrd. She spent her childhood at Campo growing up on her parents homestead. In 1934 she married Sam Parker at Boise City, OK. They had one daughter, Phyllis Margene Barham of Mountain View, OK. They moved from Boise City to Wichita, KS in 1941 where she was employed by Boeing Aircraft. Later they moved back to Boise City and then to Colorado Springs, CO. After her husband's death in l977 she moved to Houston, TX to be close to her daughter and family, later moving to Mountain View, OK for the same reason. She was a Christian and a long time member of the Eastern Star, Chapter 476.

Her daughter, Margene Barham, Mountain View, OK
Three granddaughters: Sherry Austin and husband, Vernon of San Antonio, TX
Kaye Isgur, Mountain View, OK
Shay Seale, Austin, TX
five great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren
A sister, Lois Green, Colorado Springs, CO

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Parker, her parents, DC and Esta Byrd; brothers, Henry, Floyd and Donald Byrd; one sister, LaVona Copeland and a grandson, Brandon Scott Carlisle.

Graveside Services: 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 29, 2011
Mountain View Cemetery, Mountain View, OK under the direction of
Ray & Martha's Funeral Home, Mountain View, OK.
