Margaret Jane Tahpay

January 19, 1944 — March 12, 2011

Margaret Jane Tahpay, 67, of Carnegie, OK was born on January 19th, 1944 to Clyde and Mildred ( Mausape ) Daingkau. She was called to her heavenly home with loved ones by her side on March 12th, 2011. Margaret attended school at Cedar Dale and then furthered her education at Roswell, New Mexico for nursing. She then relocated to Ponca City, Oklahoma where she was employed as a nurse aide for the St. Joseph Medical Center for ten years. Afterwards, Margaret returned to her home in Carnegie where she furthered her medical career as a EMT for Carnegie Hospital for nearly five years. Wanting to stay in the medical field, she remained at the Carnegie Nursing Home as a CNA until her time of rest. She met and married the love of her life Kenneth Wayne Tahpay on January 19, 1994. She like the idea of receiving two gifts two days in a row for her anniversary and birthday. In 1984, inspired by her oldest son, Margaret came to know the Lord and was saved at the "White Church". She soon became a devoted women of faith and wasn't hesitant to tell others about her Lord and Savior. Her home was always open for visitors and others that may be in need. She was well known for her hospitality and tender love for others. Many of her children's and grandchildren's friends came to know her as mom and grandma. Some of her hobbies included attending church services, going to powows on weekends. And shopping at flea markets and yard sales with her sisters.
