Margaret Ewing a long time resident of Hobart Oklahoma passed away October 29th 2020. Margaret was born April 12th 1937 in Glascow Scotland to Alexander Ewing and Margaret Ewing. Margaret spent her youth in Scotland, where she worked for 2yrs in a Rope Factory. Early in her youth Margaret moved to the United States where she settled in Malibu, California. It was at this time that Margaret found work as a Nanny. Margaret soon became acquainted with Jehovah's Witnesses and began studying the Bible. Margaret's love for the message of Bible truth moved her to dedicate her life to her Heavenly Father Jehovah on July 17th 1964. It was during this time that Margaret also developed a lifelong friendship with Shirley Logan and her 4 boys.
Margaret's desire for adventure and friendship led her to Oklahoma. It was during this time that she became acquainted with Shirley's mother, Lil Mullen. During a span of some 30 years Margaret and Lil pioneered together in their Christian Ministry regularly volunteering 70-90 hrs a month(Matt 24:14;Matt 28:19,20). As Lil aged she lovingly served as her friend's caretaker. After Lil's Death, Margaret stalwartly continued her pioneer ministry spending an additional 23 years helping people improve the quality of their life by means of the Bible's message. Margaret wanted people to know the true God Jehovah and the beautiful hope found within his word the Bible. Margaret was well known and respected by many for her self-sacrificing spirit and unstoppable determination. Margaret spent several years on the brick crew building Kingdom Halls of Jehovah's Witnesses where her unmatched work ethic was always on display. Despite being advanced in years Margaret volunteered some 4 months assisting with the 2019 remodel of the Clinton Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. In addition to her deep love for the Bible she always had a puzzle somewhere in the house she was solving!
"Gram Gram" as she was affectionately known by her spiritual grandchildren was well-known for serving her signature turkey tetrazzini and homemade chocolate cake. Margaret also enjoyed landscaping, tea time with her many friends and her cat "Tom"! Margaret is survived by a few close family members and relatives in the United Kingdom as well as a large Spiritual Family of Brothers and Sisters who miss her and look forward to seeing her once again!
