Olene Duke, 82, long-time Hobart, OK, resident, passed away in Roland, OK after a lengthy illness.
She was born June 13, 1930, in Lone Wolf, OK, to Olen and Margaret (Johnston) Beddo. Olene attended Sentinel Schools until her Junior Year, then moving to Hobart to graduate Hobart High School. She lived in Kiowa County all of her life. Olene married Kenneth Duke on October 30, 1948 in Vernon, Texas. She worked for Southwestern Bell Phone Company for 24 years. After retirement Olene went in the clothing business, later working at Sears. She was a seamstress for many years and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hobart, Oklahoma. Olene was loved by many, and will be missed by many family and friends.
She is survived by two daughters:

Shandi Zaragoza and husband Daniel, Muldrow, OK
one grand-daughter, Torri Janay, Hobart, OK
one grand-son, Rader Jay, of Hobart, OK
three great grandkids, Braden, Noah and Madison
one sister, Joan Beddo-Curry
She is preceded in death by her parents, and husband Kenneth,1986.
