Margaret Elizabeth Bush, 89, of Hobart, Oklahoma, passed away May 27, 2012. She was born in Lone Wolf, Oklahoma, November 17, 1922. She graduated from Lone Wolf High School and attended Oklahoma A&M College but left college to support her father's grocery store, Schmidt Brothers, during World War II. She married her sweetheart and late husband, Rufus Bush, on May 24, 1953.
Margaret is preceded in death by her husband, Rufus Bush, her parents, George Herman and Lulu Schmidt, her sister, Ellen Perry, and her brothers Harold and Clarence Schmidt.
She is survived by her daughter, Diane Webber, her son-in-law, Jim Webber, and her two grandchildren, Kristin Webber and Josh Webber. She also survived by her sister, Donna Adams, and her nieces and nephews, Nancy Ledbetter, Rick Perry, Susan Bagg, Ann Wales, Don Schmidt, Stephanie Davis, Ann Jeanne Black, and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
Margaret worked for eight-and-a-half years in Hobart public school. She also worked for Styron Wholesale and Johnson's Lumber Yard. She enjoyed working with children, singing in the Methodist choir, and spending time with her family. Her fun-loving nature and contagious laugh will be missed by her family and friends.
Her funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, June 1, 2012 at First United Methodist Church, 201 S. Washington Street, Hobart, Oklahoma, 73651. Burial will follow in the Lone Wolf Cemetery, Lone Wolf, OK under the direction of Ray and Martha's Funeral Home, Hobart, OK.
