Marcheta Ray Jones

Marcheta Ray Jones, born April 29, 1943, to Ray Francis Jones and Wilma (Lawson) Jones in Los Angeles, California, passed away December 7, 2024.

Marcheta graduated from Hobart HS in 1961 and graduated from OCW, Chickasha in 1965.

She taught elementary school in Westminster, CA from 1965 to 1974. She returned to Hobart and eventually Oklahoma City where she worked for State of Oklahoma at O.P.M. and later on supervised a number of employees.

Marcheta retired years early so she could care for her father and later her mother her in Hobart for nearly fifteen years. She sacrificed. It wasn't easy and she did it almost entirely on her own. While at the same time she had her own health problems. Yet she said she was blessed to have been able to do so. A better sister and friend I could not ask for. She is and will be greatly missed.

Preceded in death by her parents and brother Michael Ray Jones and his wife Sheila (Muldowney) Jones

Survived by her brother Richard Jones, nephew Jeffrey Jones, his wife Cher, their children Gage and Autumn. Niece Brandi Bray, husband Gary, their children Alyssa, Mikeala (Bray Henderson and husband Sam and son Sawyer.
