Malia Dawn Simmons

Malia Dawn Simmons (Tatanka Oyate Wicincila "Buffalo Nation Girl"), known by family and friends as Biddy was called home April 9th, 2021.
Malia was born May 26 2005 in Natchitoches, LA to Keith and Kelli Simmons. Malia has three older sisters Kristine, Darian, and Jade.
Malia had a smile that could light up a room and a laugh that brought so much happiness to everyone around. She loved spending time with family and friends and giving out candy to anyone she could. Anyone that came across her, knew her strength. At the age of 6, Malia was diagnosed with a brain tumor that resulted in a lifetime of hardships but she never let that get in the way of her positive outlook on life.
If you knew Malia, then you know the love she had for SpongeBob. She spent her free time drawing and painting pictures for her family. She loved listening to music and dancing, Malia danced right up to her last day. She was the life of the party, and she loved to make others feel included in anything she could. She earned the nickname "Candy queen" from her friends because they knew she always had candy to share with them.

Malia is survived by: Parents Keith and Kelli Simmons. Sisters Kristine and Darian Simmons. Jade Perrodin of Opelousas, Louisiana.
Niece Paisley Sue and nephews Bentley Keith and Beckham Michael.
