Malcolm E. Bridwell, M. D., 73, Hobart, OK died at Elkview General Hospital, Thursday, January 12th, 2012. He was born December 20, 1938 in Carnegie, OK to Denton and Lucile (Holcomb) Bridwell. Malcolm grew up in Carnegie and graduated from Carnegie High School. He attended the University of Oklahoma and O.U. Medical School on a basketball scholarship. Dr. Bridwell came to Hobart in l966 and has spent most of his life in Hobart. His hobbies were stamp collecting, reading and participating in Shortgrass Playhouse. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church at Hobart.

Two great-grandchildren: Kamee Wadkins, Levi Callahan
Mother: Lucile Bridwell, Carnegie, OK
Two Brothers: Robert Bridwell and wife, Karen, Corpus Christi, TX
John Bridwell and wife Elaine, Ardmore, OK
He was preceded in death by his father, Denton Bridwell.
Visitation with the family will be 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m, Friday, January 13, 2012 at Ray & Martha's Chapel, Hobart, OK
Funeral Service: 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 14, 2012 at the First United Methodist Church, Hobart, OK

Burial to follow in the Hobart Rose Cemetery under the direction of Ray & Martha's Funeral Home, Hobart, OK.
