Major Boardingham, 79, passed away June 17, 2022 in OKC, OK. He was born August 6, 1942, in Newalla, Oklahoma, to Albert and Beulah (Doakes) Boardingham.
He married Barbara Jean Riddle on May 11, 1963, in Ft. Sill, Oklahoma. Major served in the U.S. Army from 1963 to 1965 in Germany. Upon returning to civilian life, he was employed at Sequoyah Mills and worked there for 35 years until he retired in 2000.
Major was known for his quick wit and honesty and loved to "tell it like it is." He enjoyed sitting outside under the shade tree and going for rides on country roads. He also liked playing pool, cards and dominoes--at one time, it seemed as if his home was the place to be if you wanted to have fun. He enjoyed being with his family and spending time with his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Beulah Boardingham; stepson, Christopher Wright; son, Terry Boardingham; two brothers, Inman Doakes and Albert Boardingham, Jr.; two sisters, Flyretta Galbreath and Rosie Boardingham
He is survived by his: Wife Barbara Boardingham

Brother: Garfield Doakes
