Madelaine Sue McPherson, 75, Tecumseh, OK, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, June 13, 2021, at her home. She was born on August 15th,1945 to Melven Bishop and Ellen (Parker) Young in Saint Louis, Missouri.
She was a member of The Citizen Potawatomi Nation tribe.
She married Carl McPherson Sr. after knowing him for 11 days on December 17, 1963 on her lunch break at the Tulsa Courthouse. She attended Nathan Hale High School in Tulsa, OK, until the birth of her eldest son in 1964. She later earned her GED. Madelaine was a homemaker, but worked outside the home after her children entered high school. She worked at Munsingwear in Hominy, and she was a bus driver for Owasso Public Schools. Madelaine really enjoyed the time spent with her husband being co-owner of, I reckon, enterprise. Traveling the country together selling Native American art. She loved going on adventures with Clem such as the Lego museum, aquariums, and the zoo. Madelaine also loved attending pow wows, making Native American Jewelry, crocheting, and visiting the nail salon.
