Evelyn Conrad, 85, of Yukon, formerly from Hobart, passed away suddenly on January 9, 2019 in Oklahoma City. She was born on January 12, 1933 to Vernon and Clara (Bright) Sullins in Rocky, OK. Evelyn grew up in southwest Oklahoma and graduated from Merritt High School.
She met the love of her life, William (Bill) Conrad at Clinton Sherman Air Force Base and they were married on September 26, 1962.
Six years later, they were joined by daughter, Taffy.
Evelyn was a very talented artist, seamstress, quilter, and painter and owned related businesses in Hobart: Evelyn's Ceramics and Conrad's Fabrics. She also enjoyed woodworking and taught painting classes to many members of the community which created a circle of special friends.
She lived her life for her family and loved to spend time with them. She was a member of the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn.
Survivors include her husband Bill Conrad of the home, one daughter, Taffy Henderson, Yukon, OK, one grandson, Zack Henderson and wife Rachel, Tulsa, OK, one brother Glenn Sullins and wife Pat, Clinton, OK, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Clara Sullins, father-in-law Lee Conrad, one sister in law Marty Sullins, one grandson Chase Henderson, one brother Robert Sullins, and brother-in-law Tom Conrad.
Family will greet friends & family at Ray & Martha's Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Friday, January 11, 2019.
