Lula Grace Methvin LaCour went to be with the Lord on April 10th, 2023. Lula was born on July 19th, 1937 to Margaret Apayate and William Burns Methvin. She grew up in Carnegie and Saddle Mountain. Lula graduated from Riverside Indian School in 1955. Lula completed LPN school and worked at various local hospitals and retired from Reynolds Army Hospital in 2004. Lula loved her church and was a faithful member of Saddle Mountain Baptist Church. Lula was a proud member of the Kiowa Tribe and Satanta Whitebear Descendants.
Lula was preceded in death by her parents Margaret and Billy Methvin. Her husband Emile LaCour. Four brothers Herman Lee Methvin, Kenneth Methvin, Freemont Methvin, and Garland Methvin. One son David Michael LaCour. One grandson Walden Ware II. 2 granddaughters Charity Dawn Ware and Loni Lane LaCour
She is survived by:
5 children: Lanita Jo Horse, Stephen Lynn LaCour and Marilyn Jessepe LaCour (deceased), Vonda Jewel LaCour, Justina Biffle LaCour and Dana Michelle LaCour
2 sisters: Augustine Maldonado and Billie Ruth Brown
1 brother: Kiowa Way
1st cousin: Raymond Tongkeahmha and two sisters Prenella and Lisa Labrada
And 13 grandkids, 22 great grandkids and two great-great grandkids
She will be sorely missed by all her family.
