Lula Belle Bowen

Lula Belle Guffey Bowen was born May 28,1938 in Cullman, Alabama and died January 12, 2022 in Clinton, Oklahoma at the age of 83. She married the love of her life, Gerald Bowen on March 1,1963 and were married for 55 years prior to his death on March 3, 2018. To this union they had two daughters Sherri and Shannon. After Gerald finished his tour in the U.S. Army they moved to Oklahoma and made their life in Sentinel. In February1979 they bought the one and only grocery store everyone knows as Gerald's Fine Foods and ran it for 33 years side by side. Lou enjoyed playing cards, being around her friends, 4th of July Bingo, and her Sunday school class and Church.

She is preceded in death by: her husband Gerald; her mother Katie Belle Guffey; Siblings Vester Guffey, Wanda Moon, Oma Roach, and infant sister Dorothy Guffey; Brother in laws Dwane Bowen, Dale Bowen, Eldon Bowen and Jerry Bowen. Sister in laws Betty Dahlan and Marlene Bowen.

Shannon Johnson and husband Kurt of Sentinel
Grandchildren: Abby Denny-Theonen and husband James of Cushing
Daniele Cole of Seiling
Randi Cole of Seiling
Toni Johnson of Sentinel
Great grandchildren: Waylon Johnson and Brooklyn Denny-Theonen
Family members: Mary Bowen, Cindy Bowen, Ray and Sharon Bowen, Marla and Brian McCoy, Clark and Melody Bowen, Bobbie and
Don Baumwart, Millard Guffey.
Numerous nephews and nieces.
