Loveta Ann Marcum

September 7, 1935 — October 17, 2017

Loveta Ann Marcum, was born to Eldon and Ava (Henslee) Boyer in Carnegie, OK, she passed away peacefully at her home after a long term illness on October 17th, 2017. Loveta grew up in Anadarko and graduated from Anadarko High School in 1953. She worked at the soda fountain while in High School. She married Clay Roy Marcum on May 15, 1954 in the Methodist Church in Anadarko. Clay Roy and Loveta owned and operated Marcum's Station with Clay Roy's parents Willard and Mary Marcum for 26 years. Loveta then helped Clay Roy start up and run their farming and order buying operation, that she helped Clay Roy run until her death. She ran the office for Bob Liles at the Comanche Livestock sale and she worked in the office at the Apache Livestock sale. She also worked in the office at the Livestock sale and horse barn in Anadarko. She began working for the Anadarko Post office in 1988 where she ran a Rural Route until she retired in May of 1999. Loveta always carried candy with her for the kids on her Rural Route. After her retirement she took care of Clay Roy working side by side everyday. Loveta better known as "Nanny" adored all of her grandkids, great grandkids, and great- great grandkids she enjoyed helping raise them and was a great influence in all their lives. She attended and supported all her kids, grand kids, and great grandkids in sports and livestock shows. Nanny and Paw's house was a before and after school home for many of them until the very end. After their daughter Shellie passed away their house became a second home for Michael and Jeremy. Loveta just loved spending time with her family everyday along with helping Clay Roy with the daily farming operations. Loveta always cooked large family meals for all the kids. Loveta also had many friends she treated just like family and when they came they never left hungry. Loveta was Clay Roy's best friend and supervisor and he was the love of her life. She took care of and supported him until her passing.


She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Clay Roy Marcum, Anadarko, OK

2 Sons-in-law: Larry Muncrief, Chickasha, OK
Gary Hall and wife Carla, Apache, OK
7 Grandchildren: Kristi Cagle and husband Mark, Yukon, OK
Mistie McNamar and husband Latrel Stevenson, Anadarko, OK
Scott Muncrief, Anadarko, OK
Brandi Terry and husband Travis, Chickasha, OK
Michael Hall and wife Michelle, Anadarko, OK
Ricky Steven McNamar and wife April, Anadarko, OK
Jeremy Hall and wife Erica, Anadarko, OK
23 great grandkids and 2 great-great grandkids.

Preceded in death by: her mother and father Eldon and Ava Boyer, 1 brother Coy Boyer, and her youngest daughter Shellie Hall.

Interment: Memory Lane Cemetery, Anadarko, OK
