Loveta M Holland

Loveta Marie Ramsey was born March 9, 1919 to Charles Hershel "Charlie" and Allie Myrtle {Carpenter} Ramsey in Wolfe City, Hunt County, Texas. She passed from this life on January 13, 2022 just 55 days short of her 103rd birthday in Cordell, Washita County, Oklahoma.. Loveta was the third of four children born to this couple, consisting of 2 older brothers, Doyle Leon and Floyd Raymond, and a younger sister Juanita Faye. At the age of 7 years she moved with her family to Eldorado, in Jackson County, Oklahoma where her father had found work Here she grew up, attending Eldorado school.
At the age of 19 years, Loveta met and fell in love with a young man, Leslie Walter Collvins. They were married December 3,1938 in Lawton, Oklahoma. Their first son, Leslie Dean was born the following year, and in 2 1/2 years he was joined by their second child, a little girl named Rita June. It would be 9 plus years before the last of their children, another son, Joe Wayne was born. In 1962 the family moved to Choctaw County in Southeastern Oklahoma, first living in Hugo and in a short time to Fort Towson. In 1971 after 32 years of marriage, Loveta found herself a widow. She went back to work in retail sales for a time. She met and married her 2nd husband W. H. "Choc" Holland December 20, 1971 in Idabel, Oklahoma. On April 18, 1989, she once again found herself to be widowed.
Loveta had 17 Grandchildren, 32 Great Grandchildren,12 Great Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Great Grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, 2 husbands, 1 Grandchild, and 4 Great Grandchildren. She is survived by a host of friends and other extended family
Graveside services will be held by Ray and Martha's Funeral Home at Lone Star Cemetery, Rocky, Oklahoma on Monday, January 17th, 2022 at 1: p.m. under the guidance of her Hospice Chaplain David Worsham. Visitation will be on Monday, 9.00 until noon at Ray and Martha's Funeral home in Cordell.
Masks are required as well as social distancing.
