Louise Atchley Brown

April 8, 1939 — June 15, 2017

Mary "Louise" Brown, 78, of Carnegie, Oklahoma passed away on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at the Carnegie Hospital.

Louise was born April 8, 1939, at the family home near Fort Cobb, Oklahoma to Noah and Irene (Teague) Atchley. She graduated from Oney High School in 1957. Louise married Dale Brown on December 21, 1978. They made their home in Oklahoma City until 2004 when they moved to Carnegie. She was a long time employee of C.R. Anthony Co. in Oklahoma City and was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Carnegie. Louise loved her family and enjoyed working in her flowers especially her roses.

Louise was preceded in death by her parents, Noah and Irene Atchley, her husband Dale, and brother Charles Atchley.

She is survived by one daughter, Terri Shea of Ponca City, Oklahoma; five sons, Lloyd Avery and Raygena of Crescent; Boyd Avery of Seminole, Texas; Chris Avery and wife Sherry of Denver, Colorado; Dale Brown, Jr. and Virgil Brown both of Alvarado, Texas. Grandchildren: Jason Avery and wife Tara, Casey Crosby and husband Eddie, Dondra Berkenbile, Sean Cawood, Chad Cawood, Jerry Cawood, Brandon Avery, Jared Avery, and Cody Brown. She had numerous great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters: Oleta Brown of Carnegie and Carolyn Ruth Kueter and husband Gary of Norman, Oklahoma. Two Brothers: Noah Atchley Jr. of Carnegie and Donald Atchley and wife Trecee of Bangs, Texas. She also had many nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 19, 2017 at the Carnegie Cemetery.
