Lois Alletta Higginbotham, 92, passed away May 21st, 2012 in Keys, OK, at daughter Sandy's residence. Lois was born November 11th, 1919 to Addie and Walter Davis in Hobart, OK. She married the love of her life, Walter "Dub" Higginbotham September 17th, 1938 in Hobart, and lived there, California, Texas, and all over Oklahoma spending most of their time in Oklahoma City. Lois finished her remaining years after Walter passed in Tahlequah, OK surrounded by her 3 daughters and family. She was a loyal member of the churches she was a part of in each of the locations she lived. Lois worked as a Hospital Professional, Hairdresser, and Homemaker. It was her efforts as a Homemaker that shaped and developed the lives of countless people that loved and respected her very much.
Lois is survived by 2 brothers and 3 sisters, Mary Dee Manaugh & husband Harold, Mustang, OK; Stanley Davis & Lela, Anadarko, OK; Nelson Davis & wife Olene, Roosevelt, OK; Pat Fleming & husband Jim, San Angelo, TX; Nancy McNutt & husband Elbert, Oklahoma City, OK. 3 daughters, Jane Jorgensen & husband Andy, Tahlequah, OK; Sandy Fisher & husband, the late Dr. Ted Fisher, Keys, OK; Judy Carroll & husband Jimmy, Tahlequah, OK. Mama Lois is also survived by 7 grandchildren, Valeria Jorgensen, Brandi Donatelli & husband Bobby, Scott Fisher, Pam Jorgensen, Tracy Carroll & wife Christine, Marcie Adamson, Dustin Fisher, and 5 great-grandchildren, Nick Donatelli, Addie Donatelli, Brittany Joiner, Briana Adamson, Charlie Simmons, and numerous nieces and nephews. Lois was preceded in death by her parents, Addie & Walter Davis, husband Walter "Dub", brother Blaine, brother Dayrold, grandson Neal Jorgensen, granddaughter Kim Jorgensen, great-grandson Jorgen Goble.
Viewing time in Tahlequah will be Thursday, May 24th, 2012 at the Hart Funeral Home in Tahlequah.
