Lloyd Melvin Johnson

Lloyd M.(Sonny) Johnson,72, of Mountain View, OK passed away Sunday, January 30th, 2011 at the DVA Medical Center, Oklahoma City, OK. He was born September 9th, 1938 in Hobart, OK to Chris and Merle (White) Johnson. Lloyd graduated from Cooperton High School. He served in the US Army from 1961-1963. He married Peggy Hopkins November 08, 1963 in Oklahoma City, OK. Lloyd worked as a machinist in Oklahoma City until 1974 then moved to Cooperton. He then moved to Mountain View, OK in 1986. Lloyd was a member of the Mountain View Masonic Lodge. His grandchildren were the joy of his life.

LaVoy Don Johnson and wife Linda, Cordell, OK
three sisters, Loretta Lindsey and husband Marvin, Porter, OK
Leta Fay Baker, Lubbock, TX
Wanda Simmons, Roosevelt, OK

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Alta Fern Haskins, nephews, Bradley Johnson and Rusty Johnson, niece, Carla Douglas


Funeral Services: 2:00 pm Friday, February 4, 2011 at the Pentecostal Holiness Church, Mountain View, OK
Burial will follow at the Mt.View Cemetery, Mountain View, OK
