Lillie Viola Winingham

Lillie Viola Winingham, 90, of Cordell, Oklahoma passed away peacefully on October 19, 2018. She was born on October 8, 1928, to Ted and Ida (Becker) Lenaburg in Cordell, Oklahoma. Lillie grew up in Cordell and graduated from Cordell High School. She later met and married Forrest Winingham on July 1, 1960, at the First Presbyterian Church in Cordell, Oklahoma. She was a lifelong member of the First Presbyterian Church in Cordell where she had many friends whom she treasured. Lillie enjoyed being with her family and friends. She was always one to let you know how proud she was of you and let you know that you were loved. She had a great sense of humor and always enjoyed sharing a joke. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Lillie worked in the public for 60 years. She began at TG&Y for a short time and then was at Thornton Drug Store until she and her husband sold that business in 1974. After that she was employed at Lawrence's Department Store for many years and then at Cordell Christian Home.
In 2012 she became a resident at the Cordell Christian home where she maintained an amazingly positive attitude and had a true thankfulness for all the wonderful employees that cared for her. She loved playing Bingo and bragging about all her winnings.
She is survived by her brother, Danny Lenaburg and wife Celia of Cordell, OK, 2 nieces, Cindy Froneberger and husband Scott of Cordell, OK, Gerri Wilkey and husband Darren of Durant, OK, nephew Randy Robinson and wife Gregg of Billings, MT, great nephews, Cody Froneberger and wife Ashley of Weatherford, OK, Seth Froneberger and wife Kaytlin of Cordell, OK, Trevor Wilkey and wife Emmy of Stephens City, VA, Chase Wilkey and wife Kassi of Durant, OK, Dustin Wilkey of Durant OK, great-great nieces, Jasi Froneberger and Piper Wilkey and great-great nephews, Koy Froneberger and Nolan Wilkey.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ted and Ida Lenaburg, Husband, Forrest Winingham and 3 Sisters, Delores Self, Cleo Jacobson and Sylvia Hill.
