Lewis Alonzo "Lew" McNabb, 80, of Anadarko was born June 6, 1934, to Milvern and Ethel Mae (Toney) McNabb in Carnegie. He passed from this life on Thursday, April 30, 2015, in Chickasha.
Lew was raised and attended school in Carnegie graduating with the Class of 1952. In January of 1954, he joined the U.S. Marine Corps, was sent to Korea and was honorably discharged in January of 1956. Lew then worked for a metal plate manufacturer retiring as a production manager. In 2010, he moved to Anadarko.
Lew Loved dogs and tolerated Katy's cats. He was a big-time Lakers and U.S.C. Trojans fan. Lew was proud to be a Carnegie Wildcat and enjoyed the last alumni gathering immensely.
Preceding him in death were his parents; sisters, Helen Mize and Doris Dawes; brother, Jimmy McNabb; sister-in-law, Phyllis McNabb; and a nephew, Robert Mize.
Survivors include his nieces, Debbie Hawpe and Katy Dawes, both of Anadarko; nephews, Richard Dawes of Bethany and Mike Dawes of Trophy Club, Texas.
Viewing will be Saturday from 9 A.M. to 8:30 P.M. A graveside service has been set for 3 P.M., Sunday, May 3, 2015, at the Carnegie Cemetery.
