Leta Beth Smith

It is with heavy hearts and sadness we announce that Leta Beth (Hileman) Smith, 80, former Carnegie resident passed away Monday, March 29th, 2021 at Pipestone Assisted Living Center in San Antonio, TX. Beth was born December 3, 1940 to John Leslie and Nora Lorene (Stuart) Hileman in Anadarko, OK. She grew up and attended school in Mountain View, Oklahoma, graduated from Mountain View High School, and later attended Caddo Kiowa Vo-Tech in Fort Cobb, Oklahoma where she received her LPN training. Beth was a kind, thoughtful, and gentle soul who loved spending time with family, especially camping at the lake outings. Her life was her family, and she spent her life as a caregiver for others. She found great comfort and meaning in her spiritual faith that never wavered, even during the most challenging of times and was one who always found happiness in the moment. She will be forever loved and missed. May she rest in peace.

The love of mom's life Vernon Smith's kids are: Ricky Smith; 2 children; Ronnie Smith & wife Kim; 3 children, 6 grandchildren, Renee Mills & late husband Bob, 2 children, 7 grandchildren and 10 great ~ grandchildren, Keitha Mainka & husband Walter, all of Lindsay, OK, 2 children and 3 grandchildren; Tricia Mitchell & husband Larry of Carnegie, OK, 3 daughters and 6 grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband Vernon "Shot" Smith, Parents John Leslie Hileman and Nora Lorene (Stuart) Hileman, Son-in-Law Allen Gamble, 2 Brothers John and Jimmy Hileman, 2 Sisters Jane Hileman and Jean Cummings.
