Leonard J. Jumper, 75, of Hobart, passed away suddenly on Friday, July 2, 2010 in the Elkview General Hospital, Hobart, OK. He was born January 9, 1935 in Harden City, Pontotoc County, OK to Homer and Dora (Cradduck) Jumper. Leonard graduated from McLish High School in Fittstown, OK and attended East Texas State University in Commerce, TX. He was a well know saddle maker and leather crafter for fifty five years. He married Carol Ann Rutherford November 11, 1956 and Teresa Rodgers April 2, 1983. Leonard married Carol McAllister September 16, 1997 in Vernon, TX. He was a member of the Hobart Baptist Temple, Hobart Riding Club and American Quarter Horse Association.He was a Team Roper, receiving instruction from the late Everitt Shaw.
