Leon Jesse Turney

Leon Turney, 78, of Carnegie, OK went to be with the Lord Tuesday, January 4th, 2013. He was born to Jesse M. and Nora (Sheffield) Turney June 15, 1934 in Wewoka, OK. Leon attended Fort Cobb School. He married the love of his life Faye Sanders, August 08, 1952 in Anadarko, OK. He worked for Caddo County for 31 years and also served as County Commissioner for four years. He and his wife owned and operated Turney's Cafe for 18 years. Leon was a very loving husband and father; and dedicated himself to helping others. He enjoyed tending to his garden, riding horses and fishing. Leon was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Carnegie, OK.
