Leland Russell Corcorran

Leland Russell Corcorran passed away peacefully on June 12, 2022, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Leland was born to Daniel Obert and Cloy Artie (Pringle) Corcorran on February 16, 1929, in Burns Flat, Oklahoma. Leland attended Port school and graduated in 1948. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean conflict. Leland was presented 2 Korean Service Medals, and a United Service Medal. Leland married the love of his life, Dorothy "Jeanette" Marlett on September 23, 1955, in Shamrock, Texas. They were married 66 years until she passed away on November 25, 2021. To this union they had four children, Kevin, Annette, Kelley, and Angela. Leland was a loving and dedicated husband, and father, who took pride in being a good provider. He loved his Savior and First Baptist Church family and found joy in greeting everyone with smiles and hugs. He loved people, and never met a stranger. Over his lifetime he worked for JC Penney, Western Uniform and Towel, Gateway Furniture, Bonham's, and later, in 1970, opened and owned Leland's Appliance & TV which he successfully operated with his wife, Jeanette, by his side. Their son, Kevin, was also employed in the family business for many years. Leland and his wife traveled to several countries and destinations around the world. As a hobby Leland took art lessons and began painting pictures much to his delight. He was an animal lover and car enthusiast. Leland was active throughout his life in Lion's club, Chamber of Commerce, American Legion, VFW, and The Hudson club.
Leland is survived by his son: Kevin Corcorran and wife Marilyn, Hobart, OK

Kelley Green and husband Robert, Edmond, OK
Grandchildren: Martin Corcorran and wife, Amber

Great-grandchildren: Connor, Quinn, and Aiden
Daughter-in-law: Debra Corcorran
Adopted family member: Sally Monday
He is preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy "Jeanette" Corcorran, daughter Angela Beth Corcorran, parents Daniel and Cloy Corcorran, brother "little" Billy, sisters Helen Gambrell and Ola Dean Schmidt.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Clinton Veteran Center.
