Leila Edna Scarberry

March 24, 1913 — November 8, 2010

Leila Edna Scarberry, 97, passed away Monday, November 8th, 2010 in the Elkview General Hospital.
She was born March 24, 1913, in Scottsboro, AL to William and Maude (Slater) Holman. She came to Hobart with her parents at the age of 16. She married Fred S. Scarberry on October 4th, 1930 in Cordell, OK Edna lived in Hobart many years before moving to her daughter's home in Sulphur in 2004. She then moved back to Hobart in August 2010. Her family was her biggest hobby, then her quilting, handwork, gardening. She loved to work in the yard and plant flowers.

Tommy Scarberry and wife Stella, Cordell, OK
Tim Scarberry and wife Rena Jo, Pauls Valley, OK
Calvin Scarberry, Pauls Valley, OK
Curtis Scarberry and wife Debbie, Choctaw, OK
2 daughters: Janet Emert and husband Floyd, Sulphur, OK
Maudie Barnes and husband George, Hobart, OK

24 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren, numerous great-great-grandchildren

1 brother, Paul Holman, Chatanooga, TN
2 sisters: Bonnie Sharp, Fountain Inn, SC
Wheeler Sharp, Chatanooga, TN

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband on December 15, 1972, son Marion, daughter
Barbara, grandson Scotty Barnes, granddaughter, Vickie and great-grandson Nathan, and 4 daughters-in-law: Barbara, Sandy, Diana and Jannett.


Funeral Services:
2:00 p.m., Thursday, November 11, 2010
Rev. Chris Block, officiating
Ray & Martha's Funeral Chapel, Hobart, OK

Burial will follow in the Hobart Rose Cemetery under the direction of Ray & Martha's
Funeral Home of Hobart.
