Lee Beth Funkhouser, 54, of Roosevelt, Oklahoma, passed away on Wednesday, December 28th, 2011 after an extended illness. She was born February 5, 1957 in Hobart, OK to Jack and Lena (Kenimer) Rutledge. Lee Beth lived all her life in Kiowa County and graduated from Roosevelt High School. She was a member of the Roosevelt First Baptist since she was a first grader. She married David Funkhouser on June 21, 1975 in Roosevelt. Lee Beth received her B. S. and Masters Degree from Southwestern in Weatherford. She started her teaching career in Roosevelt and taught 5 years, then she taught in the Hobart Public Schools for 20 years, always in elementary education. Lee Beth was Teacher of the Year in 2007. She was very loved and respected by her students and friends at Hobart Elementary. Lee Beth was an amazing person and very accomplished. She loved her husband and boys and made an excellent hand at working cattle and plowing on the farm. Also, she was a great cook. She loved water skiing, riding horses, watching Clay play baseball, but most of all she loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was an amazing woman and will be greatly missed.

The family will greet friends at Ray & Martha's Funeral Home, Hobart, from 6:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday, December 30, 2011.
