Kieth LeRoy Copus, 91, of Carnegie, OK, passed away October 29th, 2010 at the Weatherford Regional Hospital. Kieth was born April 13th, 1919 near Eakly, OK to Ivan and Bessie (Lathram) Copus. He married Phyllis Williamson on December 20, 1939 at Bethel Church north of Alfalfa. They celebrated 67 years together before her death. Kieth graduated from Eakly High School. He was a true steward of the soil and farmed in the Eakly and Alfalfa areas his entire life. He served on the Carnegie CO-OP Board, Cowden School Board, Alfalfa Phone Board, treasurer for the Alfalfa Methodist Church and other various positions in the Church.

six grandchildren, Travis Copus, Randlett, OK, Robyn Smith and husband Brandon, Colony, OK Justin Copus and wife Kerri, Kingfisher, OK, Brian Copus and wife Brittany, Carnegie, OK Ryan Copus, Carnegie, OK, Adam Copus, New Orleans, LA
seven great grandchildren, Shakotah, Meleah, Logan, Mason, Connor, Savannah and Bentley
one sister, Iva Verdugo, Mesa, AZ
He is preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife Phyllis, son Kenneth LeRoy, and one sister Verla (Copus) Kimball.
Services: 2:00p.m. Monday November, 1, 2010 at the Alfalfa Methodist Church Alfalfa, OK
Burial will follow at the Eakly Cemetery
