Kent Hooks

Kent Hooks was born May 19, 1950, in Anadarko, OK to Clara Jones and Lonnie Hooks. He went to be with his Lord on March 3, 2021, at Physician's Hospital in Anadarko.
Kent accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Greater First Baptist Church, where he sang in the Brotherhood Choir. He attended Anadarko Public Schools and graduated with the Class of 1969.
Kent joined the U.S. Army in 1970 and was honorably discharged in 1972. He served in Vietnam. He was employed by Denver Public Schools. He and Betty Shoels were united in Holy Matrimony on May 22, 1986. To this union, two children were born.
He was preceded in death by his parents; maternal and paternal grandparents; two sisters, Carol Ann Flenoid and Patricia Rice; stepson Donnie Shoels.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife Betty, Denver, CO; one son, Kent Jarvis Hooks, Denver, CO; one daughter, Kendra Hooks, Denver,CO; one stepdaughter, Monik Shoels, Denver, CO; two brothers, Lonnie (Linda) Hooks, Anadarko, OK and Lester (Charlotte) Hooks, Little Elm, TX; 11 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.
