Moran _ Kenneth "Wayne" Moran, born August 9, 1937 and passed away Thursday, November 24, 2016 at the Carnegie Tri-County Hospital at age 79.
He leaves his wife, Lorna, and their 6 children, 13 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.
Born and raised in Apache, OK, the son of Brack and Elsie (Ewing) Moran. At age 17 Wayne joined the Navy and served proudly for four years. After serving in the military, he began working for Dolese Brothers. Wayne married Jewel (Brown) Moran in 1981 and they spent 18 years together. Wayne retired after 42 years as Superintendent of the Richard Spur Plant for Dolese Brothers.
As a young boy, Wayne enjoyed working with his father making runs to Oklahoma City for the family business and delivering newspapers. He had a great work ethic and instilled that work ethic in his children. Wayne enjoyed camping trips with his kids and grandkids, fishing, golfing, and spending time with family. After retirement, he and Jewel moved to Fort Cobb, OK and enjoyed life together until she preceded him in death in 1999. Later in life, he remarried Lorna, the mother of his six children. They enjoyed traveling, visiting family, and many more years together.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Brack and Elsie, brother Wendell Moran and sister Wilma Dillard and step son Danny Earl Page. He is survived by his wife Lorna of the home; his son Matt Pederson and wife Beverly of Charelston, IL; Amanda Williams and husband Dan of Carrolton, TX and three children; Lisa Olliver and husband Tom of Carter, OK and 3 daughters; Tim Moran and wife Jo of Enid, OK and 2 sons; Nancy Adams of Alfalfa and husband Wayne and two children, and Allison Willis and her husband Tracy of Alfalfa, OK and 3 children. Wayne is also survived by Jewel's three children Barbara, Wayne, and Danny, their children and grandchildren.
Visitation: 1:00-8:00 p.m., Sunday November 27, 2016 at Ray and Martha's Funeral Home, Carnegie, OK
Viewing will be available two hours prior to service at the Alfalfa Baptist Church.
