Kay Delores Sharp

February 28, 1944 — May 25, 2020

Kay Larkin Sharp, 76, of Carnegie, OK passed away on Monday, May 25, 2020 in her home, surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Minneapolis, MN to Robert Kenyon and Ruth Smith Larkin on February 28, 1944. She supported four children while working as an executive assistant and attending college. Her work eventually led her into ministry with women at the Elijah House and The Pregnancy Center.

The truly remarkable gift about Kay was her unconditional love, compassion, and ability to point people to Jesus Christ. She handled life with grace and dignity, giving encouragement and Godly counsel to everyone she encountered. She enjoyed going to high school sporting events, attending band field trips, and fishing with her husband, Jerry. She loved the outdoors, nurturing her garden, and tending to her chickens.

Preceding her in death were her parents, two brothers, a sister, and her son, Brian Elliott. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Jerry Sharp; two sisters, Debbie Larkin Hess and Lisa Larkin Panco; daughter, Tammy Kostelecky (Tim), daughter Wendy Scott and daughter-in-law Dr. Kathleen Elliott. She also gained a step-son, Dr. Roger Sharp, and step daughter, Kelly Smalts and families. Grandchildren: Dr. Leah (Landon) Coyle, Alyssa (Rob) Dyer, Dr . Hannah Winters (Dr. Drew), Kayley Harp, Kyndra Kreger (Matt), Brennah Kostelecky, Carter Scott, Caleb Davis, Joshua and Avery Elliott. and Sean Kostelecky. Kay's dear friends, Danny & Denise Webb, had a profound affect on her life and became like family during the last decades of her life. The Webb and Elliott families will forever see each other as one because of their bond. She touched countless people through her walk with Jesus and they will never forget her.

A graveside service was held at Bristow City Cemetery. The family wishes to thank those who have followed along her cancer journey, providing prayers, company, and yummy donuts at every chemo treatment. Our since thanks to Faith Hospice.
