Kathy Mccain

Kathy V. Renfrow McCain was born February 21, 1951 in Anadarko, OK to Elza Renfrow and Ester (Thommason) Renfrow. She was raised in Anadarko on the family farm with her 5 older brothers and 4 older sisters. She attended school at Broxton where she played basketball all through high school wearing the number 55 which her grand-daughter Stacey also wore through her high school basketball career and made her nana very proud.
Kathy graduated from Broxton in 1969. She then attended nursing school at Caddo Kiowa VoTech to become an LPN. She was an LPN for over 30 years working at many nursing homes and hospitals.
Growing up with music and loving to sing, especially with her older brother Jimmy, she would love to sing with her patients in the nursing homes putting on little programs and sing all the old beautiful songs for her patients to enjoy. She loved being a nurse. She was always taking care of anyone and everyone.
Kathy gave birth to her first daughter Lori Nicole in 1971 and a few years later she had her second daughter, Robin Michelle in 1977. Kathy was married briefly but later married the love of her life, Michael McCain in February 1982. They stuck by each other until she left this earth being married for 36 years.
Kathy was preceded in death by her father and mother, four older brothers, Dale, George, Jerry and Ricky Renfrow. She was also preceded in death by three older sisters, Anneta Nichols, Romona Castle, Donna Jean Taylor, two nephews, Roy Wayne Taylor, Mack Castle and one niece, Linda Beth Dorrough.
She is survived by her husband Michael McCain. Two daughters, Lori Farris and husband Randy of Anadarko, Oklahoma and Robin Allen and husband Steven of Anadarko, Oklahoma. She is also survived by one step son, Jason McCain and wife Crystal of Arizona. She is survived by one brother, Jimmy Renfrow and wife Carla of Anadarko, Oklahoma and one sister, Shirley Wilson and husband, Chet Wilson of Texas.
She is also survived by her grand-children Miranda Palmer and husband Dixon and daughter Elenora; Stacey Martini and husband William; Tyler Thornhill and wife Maryann and their daughter Annabelle and one on the way; Talley Edmonds and husband Allen; K.D. Allen her special angel and her baby Kylie; step grand-children, Matt Farris and family, Cassie Farris and family, and Robert Farris and Family.
She is also survived by many, many nieces and nephews from Oklahoma to Texas whom she loved dearly. She was extremely loved by her family and friends and will be missed.
The family will have a reception for family and friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 8th at Ray and Martha's Funeral Home in Anadarko, Oklahoma.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Bethel Baptist Church in Anadarko, Oklahoma. Kathy's services are under the direction of Ray and Martha's in Anadarko, Oklahoma.
