Karen Jean Purley departed from this life August 21, 2021 in Hobart, OK. Karen was born July 31,1950 in Lawton, OK to Howard C. Geimausaddle Jr. and Velma (Toppah) Geimausaddle. Karen started her mornings praying and reading her bible. She enjoyed cooking and caring for her brothers in the family home. She truly enjoyed spending time with the grandkids and had fun with her sisters as they went to the casino.
Although Karen never had children of her own she was a mother to Matthew Taptto and was very motherly to all nephews, nieces and grandchildren. Karen received her GED from Hobart High School and then moved to Dallas, TX to attend Flatt's Beauty College in March 1968.
She then traveled to Roswell, NM to work, she met Floyd Purley, whom she later married. After several years she and Floyd returned to Hobart, OK and Karen took college classes to earn a CDA and taught 3 and 4 year olds at Hobart Headstart from September 1983 till 1997. After leaving Headstart she worked for Searchlight Inc. as a Direct Care Staff from May 2000 to April 2015.
