Karen Beth Denton

Karen Beth Denton, 78, of Hobart, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on October 27, 2023 in Hobart, Oklahoma. Karen was born on August 8, 1945, to Hack and Ona (McClure) Shelton. Karen grew up attending school in Roosevelt and graduated from Snyder High School. She Married the love of her life Tommy Denton on August 19,1962 in Snyder, Oklahoma, to this union were born 2 sons: Thomas Kyle Denton and Mark Denton. Karen spent most of her early years chasing the boys around to sporting events while working at Hobart Stockyards and Broadway Parts. She was elected Kiowa County Court Clerk in 1994 and retired from her position in 2008. Most of her spare time revolved around her grandkids and great grandkids, which were her pride and joy. Karen was exceptionally proud of her family. Karen was a lifelong member of Washington Street Baptist Church, Hobart, where she faithfully served her Lord and Savior. Besides being fully committed to the Lord, Karen greatly loved her family and friends. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Preceded in death by her parents: Hack and Ona Shelton, Husband Tommy and son Thomas Kyle, 2 brothers, Jack Shelton and Pat Shelton, 1 sister Sandra Barshard
