June Bernice Nixon

June Bernice Nixon, 78 of Anadarko, Oklahoma went to her heavenly home on Monday, October 23, 2017, in Chickasha, Oklahoma. She was born on June 7, 1939 to Cecil and Arzella (Johnson) McPherson in Fort Cobb, Oklahoma. June married the love of her life Gerald (Ned) Nixon on May 2, 1953 they raised one son, Bill. They moved to Blanchard, Oklahoma where they opened a service station and auto repair. In 1975 they moved to Anadarko, Oklahoma and opened a service station and auto repair service where they worked together until 1989 when they retired. June loved the Lord above all and loved to sing his praises. She was an active member of Square Top Baptist Church for many years. The Lord called June home, so he could have an Angel to help with all the children.

She is survived by: 1 son Bill McPherson and wife Crystal of Pampa, Texas
1 step daughter, Leslye Brock of Lawton, Oklahoma.
9 grandchildren: Isiah, Bill Jr., Marlee, Hannah, Lella, Lanee, Justin, Josh, Jaelynn.
3 great grandchildren.
2 brothers: Carl McPherson of Tecumseh, Oklahoma
George McPherson of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
3 sisters: Ruth Williams of Tulsa, Oklahoma
Marie Gordon of Anadarko, Oklahoma
Alice VanAuken of Moore, Oklahoma
And her guardian Angel Irene Abshire and husband Elmer of Anadarko, Oklahoma.
She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by: her husband Ned Nixon, her parents Cecil and Arzella McPherson,3 brothers Willard McPherson, Paul McPherson, and Bobby McPherson, 1 granddaughter Ashley.

Interment: Memory Lane cemetery.
