June Artichoker, 89, of Carnegie, OK passed away on October 25, 2021, in Chickasha, OK. She was born on June 12, 1932 in Lawton, OK to Julia Odlety (Zatekaukaukomah) and Charles Boettger. Growing up in Stecker June graduated Apache High School in 1950. After high school she attended and graduated Haskell with a degree in business. June worked in administration for the state of South Dakota. Upon returning to Oklahoma she spent the rest of her career with the Bureau of Indian Affairs in the Soil & Moisture and Realty departments. June later married and had two sons, John and Shaw.
June was a proud member of the Kiowa Tribe of Oklahoma, previously serving as Kiowa Tribal Princess. She enjoyed traditional ways, powwows, volunteering with BIE Kiowa language classes, and visiting and making friends across the country. June was on the Kiowa Business Committee and was very active in all Kiowa related affairs. She was a hard worker and known to be generous to others. What brought June much joy was her grandson, Bryce. She enjoyed spending time with him and watching him grew into a kind and wonderful young man. June knew and trusted Jesus as her Savior. She attended Saddle Mountain Indian Baptist Church while her health permitted.
She is preceded in death by her; parents, Julia and Charles Boettger, brothers; Raymond, Patrick, and Wilford Boettger, and sister; Peggy Joyce Tyler.

Grandchildren: Jade Bitseedy, Violet Bitseedy, Julie Ruth Boettger-Mace and husband, Blake, Trey Boettger, Sydnee Boettger, and Charles Boettger.
Great-Granddaughters: Nancy Runsabove, Yukon, OK and Julia Audrey Mace, Carnegie, OK
