Julia Odetta Hendricks

September 6, 1923 — December 24, 2017

Julia Odetta Hendricks passed away on Christmas Eve morning and left behind a legacy, her family. Julia was born at home in Long, Oklahoma to El Jerry Fleetwood and Belle Blackbird. She was of Cherokee decent and the last surviving of four siblings. Julia was forced to go to Indian school, cut her hair and learn the English language.

She was proceeded in death by her husband De Vonne, daughter Natalie, Grandsons: Vincent and Nathan, one great grandson and three great granddaughter.

She is survived by 8 children: Beverly, Ted, Kenny, Dee Ann, Lance, Debra, Donna and Mike, 35 grandchildren, at least 64 great grandchildren and at least 11 great-great grandchildren.

She suffered with Alzheimer's for 20 years or more and died peacefully in her sleep at age 94.

Arrangements are under the direction of Ray and Martha's Funeral Home of Anadarko, Oklahoma.
