Joy Vonciel Troub passed away peacefully Monday, March 18, 2019, at the Carnegie Tri County Municipal Hospital with family by her side. Joy was born October 6, 1935, in Alfalfa, Oklahoma, to Oscar and Virgie Barbee Kenedy.
Joy attended Carnegie schools and graduated with the class of 1953. She married her high school sweetheart Billy John (Bill) Troub in 1954 at the First Baptist Church of Carnegie.
She then attended Draughon Business School in Oklahoma City and later served as a homemaker as she raised her three daughters alongside her husband. She ended her career as a testing coordinator for the Caddo-Kiowa Technology Center. She enjoyed creating ceramics, reading, and spending time with her grandchildren and later her great grandchildren.
Joy was a member of the First Baptist Church of Carnegie, Oklahoma. She was a charter member of Carnegie's Modern Mother's Club.
Survivors: Husband, Billy John (Bill) Troub, of the home in Carnegie, Ok.
Three Daughters: Cindy Ledford, Carnegie, Ok.
Sherri Laster and her husband John, Perkins, Ok.
Billie Fobes and husband Robert, Mountain View, Ok.
Six Grandchildren: Lacey Little, Thad Ledford, Billy John Laster, Joy
Bowers, Aaron Fobes, & Justin Fobes.
Four Great Grandchildren: Chad Little, Maddisen Ledford,
Hartley Joy Bowers, & Dawson Bowers.
Host of nieces, nephews, relatives & friends.
Preceded in death: parents Oscar and Virgie Barbee Kenedy; three brothers Don Nolan, Troy Nolan, and Kenneth Kenedy; one sister June Kelley; and one son in
law Eddie Ledford.
