Josiah James Greer, 34 of Cordell Oklahoma, passed away April 17, 2017. He was born April 2, 1983 in Pendleton Oregon to Cindy and David Greer. He attended Pilot Rock High School.
Josiah is survived by His wife Randi, his two sons Caleb and Talen and his baby girl Myra Joann. His mother Cindy and step father Lincoln, his father David and sister Shannon.
Josiah worked for Mars Corporation for several years, then earned his CDL license and became a truck driver. He worked for Belter Construction and Tim's trucking. He enjoyed working and made many friends along the way, but that's the kind of person he was. He had a funny personality and loved to laugh.
The true joy of his life was his family, his wife and three children. He enjoyed spending time with his son's. They enjoyed watching movies, shooting guns and riding dirt bikes. His little girl Myra became the star in his eyes. He used to say "Myra would be his sweet baby girls forever." Whenever they were together laughter could be heard. Randi and Josiah have been married for 14 years, she has been his life love.
Josiah had a special place in his heart for Charity and Dakota. He was Uncle Josiah before he really was Uncle Josiah. Charity and Josiah would jump on the back of his bike and be gone for an entire day. Dakota was just like another son, Josiah always included him in anything he was doing.
He was the kind of guy that called his mother everyday just to check in. He had a passion for his family. His mom Cindy use to travel to Oklahoma several times a year, they had an unbreakable relationship.
Josiah loved the outdoors. He could jump in his pickup and spend an entire day just driving around. He loved to hunt, fish and shoot guns. Really anything that went" boom" he wanted to do it. When he was a teen he would take apart fireworks and re-assemble them to make a bigger "boom". In his 20's he surveyed the land for dynamite explosions in gold mines in Nevada. Once he moved to Oklahoma he enjoyed chasing tornadoes with his buddy Kelly.
His life ended too quickly, he will be missed greatly.
In Memory of you.
I thought of you today, but that is nothing new. I thought about you yesterday and days before that too. I think of you in silence, I often speak your name, all I have is your memories and a picture in a frame. Your memory is a keepsake and which I'll never part, God has you in his keeping I have you in my heart.
