Jose Orlando Ortiz

April 2, 1961 — February 7, 2024

Orlando Antonio Ortiz was born in the beautiful state of Puerto Rico on April 2nd, 1961 and passed from this life in Oklahoma City on February 2nd, 2024. He was the son of Mattie Ann Tsonetokoy-Ortiz of Oklahoma City and Jose Ortiz of Puerto Rico.

Not much is known by our Kiowa family about Orlando, his brother Tony and his little sister, Monica as their Mother Mattie Ann moved to Puerto Rico after she married Jose and lived their for about 10 years. She moved back to Mountain View, Oklahoma when the three children were quite young and the moved to Oklahoma City. We didn't see her anymore after that move

Mattie Ann had previously had a daughter who was her first born and named her Monica as well. She blessed the first Monica to a childless couple, Hanly and Ann Tabonemah and she was raised in the Carnegie area.

Mattie Ann, who has since passed on, was the youngest daughter of Frances Tsonetokoy and Lily Botone Tsonetokoy . The niece of Allen Tsonetokoy and Julia Tsonetokoy-Lonewolf. She was also the sister of Fred (Buster) Tsonetokoy, Olivia-Tsonetokoy-Crockrell, Leona Tsonetokoy-Kaulaity, Patsy Tsonetokoy-Haury, all of Oklahoma and Buddy Tsonetokoy of Whittier, California. They are all deceased.

Survivors include, oldest sister, Monica and husband Pedro Orduna, their children, Jason Tabonebah, Calib Bush, Judith Orduna and Paula Swift of Carnegie. Brother, Jose Antonio Ortiz and his son Tony of Oklahoma City. Little sister, Monica Ortiz-Candelaria and husband Thomas. Their children, daughter Chade Ortiz and her daughter Charlize and Chade's little brother Fenyx Ortiz. Little Monica had also had a daughter, Monique, who passed on. It is not known if Orlando 's dad Jose Ortiz is still living or has already passed on. Orlando also has a host of cousins, nieces and nephews who primarily reside in the southwest Oklahoma area.
