Johnny Kent Phillips passed away on March 12, 2017 at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of fifty-two. Johnny was born on August 2, 1964 in Walters, Oklahoma to Arthur and Violet Phillips.
Johnny married the love of his life, Kay Ward, on July 9, 1994 in Walters, Oklahoma. To this union brought 3 sons: Brandon, Trent, and Carl and one daughter Blaklea.
Johnny loved riding his Harley with his wife and their close group of friends. He also enjoyed riding horses and spending time with his grandchildren.
Johnny was retired from Lawton Fire Department, Comanche County Sheriff's Department, and also from contracting work in Afghanistan. Johnny was a hard worker and fighter having sustained 3rd degree burns over 20 per cent of his body while a firefighter in Lawton.
Johnny is survived by his wife Kay of the home in Carnegie, Oklahoma.

Trent Garrett and spouse, Jenny, of Wewoka, Oklahoma
Carl Garrett of Las Vegas, Nevada
One daughter: Blaklea Moore and spouse, Scott, of Lawton, Oklahoma
Ten grandchildren and two expected grandchildren
Three brothers: Keith of Carnegie Oklahoma
Ricky and spouse of Springtown, Texas
Tommy of Ardmore, Oklahoma
One sister: Delaine Sansome and spouse of Burkburnett, Texas
He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by parents, brother Kenneth Greenroyd and sister Elaine Tunnel.
Viewing will be Tuesday, 11:00 AM - 8:00 PM at Ray & Martha's Funeral Home in Carnegie, Oklahoma.
Services for Mr. Phillips will be Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at 2:00 at Ray & Martha's Funeral Home Chapel in Carnegie, Oklahoma.
Interment will be at the Alden Cemetery, Carnegie, Oklahoma.
