Johnny Ray Hunter, of Lawton, OK, was granted his angel wings on Friday, April 12, 2024. He was born November 18, 1952 at Ft. Sill, US Army Hospital in Lawton, Oklahoma to Floyd Hunter and Thelma Johnson. Johnny attended Lubbock Independent School District during his early school years and graduated from Eisenhower High School in Lawton, Oklahoma. Following high school, he enlisted in the US Army.
Johnny was preceded in death by his mother, Thelma Johnson Thompson, his father, Floyd Hunter, his sister Debra Thompson, brother Terry Thompson, and daughter in law Heather Graham.
He leaves to cherish his memories, wife Carrie Haywood Hunter, three sons, Timothy Graham and family; Jason R. Hunter and wife Sophia G. Hunter and their children Jaden, Sania, Serenity and Jeremiah; son Johnny Hunter, Jr.; and his children, David Jay, Micah Daniel and Johnny Ray, Jr.; four brothers, Roy Lee Johnson (Michelle), Freddie Thompson (Shauna), Gary Thompson, and Kenneth Thompson, (Leticia), two sisters, Mary Hawley and Jenny McSwain; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.
