John Joseph Poolaw was born on July 16, 1970 in Lawton, OK to Lester Sr. and Berdena (Thompson) Poolaw. He passed away March 29, 2017 in Oklahoma City, OK at the age of 46.
Survivors include: his son John J. Poolaw, Jr. and wife Jessica A. Morse of Sterling, OK and son Jayden T. Poolaw; daughter Tristan Frost of Oklahoma City, OK, Daughter Jonnika Palmar of Lawton OK; sister Missenah Poolaw-Dufrene and husband Berkman Dufrene of Lawton, OK.
Nephew; Joshua Reed and fiancé Bianca and their children, Josiah, Jeremiah, Jacob, Georges Dufrene, Etienne Dufrene. Niece; Berdena (Angel) Rodriguez, husband John Rodriguez and their children Joseph, Tereasa, Nala, Cresencio, Matthew Rodriguez, nephew Ross Poolaw and wife Rhiannon and daughter Ryleigh, Trina N. (Poolaw) Cagle, husband Kendon Cagle and their children Keely Poolaw, Breylon Smith, Jaden Cagle, Ali Cagle, Ezra Cagle, Cynthia (Poolaw) Smith, husband Ryan Smith and children Cadyn Smith, Taylor Smith, Trenton Smith, Tailynn Smith, Ryan Smith, Kathryn Lynn (Poolaw) Knott and husband Michael Wayne Knott and son Hunter Wayne Knott. Cousin: John Lindy Poolaw And Wife Brenda Poolaw. Sister in law Mary Lancaster.
He was proceeded in death by his parents Lester Sr. Poolaw and Berdena Poolaw, grandparents Ethelene and Addison Thompson, Cletus and Irene Poolaw, sister Etheleen Poolaw, brother James Poolaw, Lester (Sonny) Poolaw Jr., and Bertha Ross, Layla Smith.
Service are to be held at Ray and Martha's Funeral Home Chapel Monday April 3, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Sonny Ware will officiate.
Interment will follow at the Wichita Tribal Cemetery.
Services are under the direction of Ray and Martha's Funeral Home of Anadarko, Oklahoma.
