John Edward Mosal

John Edward (Papa Smurf) Mosal passed away Feb. 23,2017 in Lawton, OK, at the age of 62. He was born Nov. 8, 1954 in Milwaukee, WI to Harriet & John J. Mosal. John's most recent job was at the HC King Community Center in Lawton.

John is survived by his brothers; Russell & wife Grace Mosal of Altus, OK, Mark & wife Della Schaffer Mosal, of the home; Jeff & wife Jeanne Mosal of Springtown, TX, and Dennis & wife Andrea Mosal of Lawton, OK. He also had two special nieces, April Schaffer & Tara Jacobs and sons of Lawton; as well as several other nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, various aunts, uncles, cousins & a nephew, Jeremy Jacobs.

A casual dress visitation will be held on Friday, Mar. 3, 2017 from 3-4 pm with a memorial service for John beginning at 4 pm at the HC King Memorial Center (1705 NW 20th St., Lawton). Dinner will follow the memorial. Friends are encouraged to attend and share their stories of John (Papa Smurf) with the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in his name to the HC King Community Center.
