John Randolph Moore IV, "Randy", 66, of Tulsa, passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2014. He was born to the late Kenneth and Loraine (Tsoodle) Moore, September 20, 1947, in Lawton, OK. Randy graduated from Newkirk High School in 1965. He played basketball at both Cowley County Community College in Ark City, KS and East Central University in Ada, OK. He then proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from September 1968 to December 1971. He completed a tour of duty in Germany where he met Christiane Dahm and married her in 1971. After approximately 10 years with Continental Airlines, Randy worked for the United States Postal Service in Tulsa for over 25 years until he retired in 2011. Known as "Auld-saul-Kea" (growing hair upright like a mohawk), he took pride in his Kiowa and Creek Indian heritage and followed in his father's and maternal uncles' footsteps as a member of the Kiowa Gourd Clan. In his later years, he became a motorcycle enthusiast and was an active member of the Oklahoma Indian Bike Club. An avid OSU football fan, he could be found at every home game in Stillwater tailgating and cheering on his Pokes. He especially enjoyed any time spent with his two treasured grandsons, Trip and Teague. Randy could always be counted on to have a lively story and a few jokes to share whenever with family and his many friends. Randy's loving presence will be forever missed but he will live in our hearts until we meet again.
Randy is survived by daughter Shanon Rene Brown and her husband Jody of Bixby, OK; daughter Kara Louise Moore and her fiancé Daniel Altbaum both of San Diego, CA; two grandsons, Joseph Allen Brown III "Awdaw gkoy" (long hair) and John Teague Brown "Shan-Keya Heen" (little man) of Bixby, OK; one sister, Elizabeth Leona Palmer of Ark City, KS; one niece, Nicolette Rene Palmer and her fiancé Jason Lord of Santa Monica, CA. He is also survived by Edwin S. Moore (paternal uncle) of Tulsa, OK; and Alfreda Claus (maternal aunt) of Phoenix, AZ as well as numerous cousins.
