John Franklin Gillispie

John Franklin Gillispie, 90, of Altus, Oklahoma passed away on March 9, 2022. He was born on August 30, 1931 to Omar and Janie (Hedger) Gillispie in Sadieville, Kentucky. In 1966 he married the love of his life Silvia (Gray) Gillispie. John was proudly served in the United States Air Force for 26 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family, but most of all he loved watching his grandson's play ball. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by:
1 Son: Gary Gillispie, Altus, OK
5 Grandsons: Matthew Gillispie, Hunter Gillispie, Jordan Gillispie, John Colton Gillispie, James Mobley
Sister: Bonnie Gillispie Mullannix
Brother: Danny Gillispie

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Silvia, a step son Richard Dale Mobley, grandson, Ricky Mobley, 4 brothers, Bobby Gillispie, Donnie Gillispie, Louis Gillispie, and Ronnie Gillispie, and 4 sisters, Brenda Gillispie, Connie Gillispie, Mary Lorraine Gillispie Jones, and Lois Gillispie.
