John Bert Geionety

December 26, 1936 — May 14, 2011

John Bert Geionety, 74, of Carnegie, OK was called home by the Lord Saturday, May 14th, 2011 at Integris Hospice House in Oklahoma City. John was born December 26th, 1936 to Corwin and Elouise (Gouladdle) Geionety in Mountain View, OK. He moved to Wichita Kansas where his work began in building bridges. He then moved back home and worked for Buster Swanda as a farm hand for many years. John enjoyed listening to Pow wow music, Country music and Kiowa hymns. He liked watching wrestling on TV and visiting with his grandchildren. His favorite place to go was down to the creek to cut wood for anyone that needed it during the winter season. John enjoyed going to the camp meetings held every year at the White Church, where he spent time visiting with friends and family. He was a member of the Botone Memorial United Methodist Church where he was saved and baptised . He was also a member of the Kiowa Tribe.

Corwin Nesahkluah and wife Dorothy, Carnegie, OK
Raymond Geionety Jr., Carnegie, OK
Luke Geionety and wife Cheryl, Anadarko, OK
three nieces:
Esther McNamer and husband Paul, Carnegie, OK
Elouise Geionety, Anadarko, OK
Hattie Geionety Page and husband Jerry, Shreveport, LA

one aunt: Rita Creepingbear, Carnegie, OK
a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, grandchildren other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Raymond Paul "Tahlo" Geionety, one sister, Ruby Geionety Nesahkluah, four nieces, Ruby Mae Geionety, Denise Lynn (Dancelleen) Geionety, Pricella Hedy Taylor Nesahkluah, Donna Jean Flores Nesahkluah, one nephew, Walter Jay Nesahkluah Jr.





Funeral Service: 1:00pm., Thursday, May 19, 2011 at the Botone Memorial United Methodist Church, Carnegie, OK


Burial will follow at Cedar Creek Cemetery, Carnegie, OK
